Packed Canberra excursion for our senior students
A packed timetable ensured our 5th and 6th class students got as many educational experiences as possible in their three day excursion to Canberra this week.
And they had a lot of fun, according to email updates from the teachers!
Questacon, the Institute of Sport and the Electoral Office education centre were probably highlights.
Pictured below are students role playing democracy in action. Isis is the Speaker keeping order on an unruly House of Representatives, Lone is the Clerk, Sophie is member for government putting her case for increasing sport to 3 hours per week, and Maisy is a member for the opposition speaking against. An orderly queue was formed for voting to decide between peach, apple, bananas or oranges.
